“Portrait of Mother and Daughter” is a sculptural homage to my mother utilizing our own hair. What we cannot readily see are the intangible parts of life that hair documents such as our intertwined memories or growth as people. The layers of hair create a shared presence and represent our maternal bond as time progresses.
